Hi, I came across your blog from the CJD newsletter on the website. My aunt passed away from sCJD in July 2008. It has been devastating for my family, especially her daughters. We are starting the planning process now so we can make the CJD conference in DC this year. I think what you're doing is great and ever since my aunt became sick and was diagnosed I've thought over and over of something, anything I could do to raise money and make others aware. Hopefully in time I can do that and help my cousins and be their support system. What an inspiration your blog has been to me in just a few short minutes. Its a big relief to read about other families that have gone this, as tragic as it is....for just a moment you don't feel alone. Thanks for sharing this!!

Cool Lac!
Again, Dad would be soooo proud of you. Brings tears to my eyes.
I love you and thank you for doing the marathon for CJD!
Your Sister,

Hi Lacy, I just came across your blog from surfing the web. I lost my mother to CJD 3/24/08. I think it is terrific what you've done, are you still fundraising for CJD? I'm in the process of putting together a 5k event next spring (in Clemmons, NC) to help raise money for CJD, check out my site: www.sk5kraceofhope.com. I've got a section on my site devoted to victims of CJD. If you'd like I'd love to share your story on my site...let me know!
